Since 1983 the
Society has operated a building marker program. While most of the
90 markers are on the residential structures, they are also on commercial
and public buildings.
The marker program
has two stages. First, research is performed to determine the first
owner of the structure in addition to its date of construction.
The second stage consists of a marker committee review to determine
eligibility for the marker.
The marker committee
meets twice a year to review applications. The application fee is
$25.00 and the cost of the marker is $175.00.
Download an application or contact the PSP office at (401) 725-9581 for an application and
information.
